Adam has recently had his PhD on the study of austenite using model alloys accepted. He is now working on the surface coating of light metals using Fluid Bed Reactor (FBR) technology.Adam is working closely with Dr Dan Fabijanic on thermo-chemical diffusion and fluid bed reactor chemical vapour deposition processes (FBR-CVD) for the surface modification of light metals. This includes investigating aluminising of magnesium and titanium for wear, corrosion and high temperature oxidation resistance, and the nitriding and siliconising of aluminium for wear resistance. |
