The Advisory Board meets quarterly and advises on Centre management by contributing to the development of strategies and visions for the future of the Centre, Centre practices in scientific, research and financial management, and Centre directions in terms of Centre Intellectual Property (IP) management and commercialisation.

The Executive Committee is responsible for the provision of advice to the Research Director on the structure of the Centre and its general operating principles, project selection and allocation of project funding, the appropriateness of the research strategies being pursued by the Centre, and the identification and protection of Centre IP. The Centre Executive Committee meets on a monthly basis.

The International Technical Advisory Committee (ITAC) is responsible for advising the Centre Research Director and the Centre Executive Committee on the direction of research undertaken within the Centre, the Centre’s educational programs, and informing the Centre Research Director on new developments in the National Research Priority Area of ‘Frontier Technologies for Building and Transforming Australian Industries’. The ITAC meets at least three times per year to establish and monitor a rolling strategic plan for the research program, to assess research progress against milestones and report to the Board on research management.

The Research Management Committee is responsible for a process of continuous quality assessment of the Centre’s research programs, and advising the Centre Advisory Board and the Centre Research Director on the progress being made against research objectives and milestones. The Research Management Committee meets quarterly to review Quarterly Reports provided by Research Program and Project Leaders.
