The multidisciplinary team assembled is inclusive of all major University groups active in light metals research nationally. It can claim internationally-recognised expertise across the full range of experimental, theoretical and modeling skills required to sustain a national research Centre that is both internationally-competitive in fundamental research, and aligned with strategic national priorities in the industrial sector. The Centre combines outstanding skills in alloy design, structural and process modeling, thermomechanical processing and advanced materials characterisation, with leading-edge capability in materials design, modeling and advanced materials manufacturing.
